Service/Repair Terms and Conditions

The terms of this service agreement (the “Agreement”) made between the entity requiring services from Bean Service (the “Customer”) and Bean Service applies each time the Customer engages Bean Service to provide services as set out below. These terms and conditions are accepted by the customer unless otherwise notified to Bean Service in writing. Bean Service and the Customer agree to the following terms and conditions: All values are in Pound Sterling.

1 TRANSPORTATION

1.1 Bean Service accepts goods for servicing and repair on the basis that the customer is responsible for the condition in which goods arrive. It is the responsibility of the Customer to ensure that proper packaging is used and that contents of packages are adequately and securely packed and cushioned for transportation. Bean Service does not accept any responsibility for damage caused during or risks associated with transportation of goods to and from Bean Service.

1.2 Bean Service will ensure proper packaging is used when returning goods to the Customer and that the contents of the packages are adequately and securely packed and cushioned for transportation. All or part of the packaging materials required to do so could be chargeable to the Customer.

2 SERVICE

2.1 Bean Service warrants that work will be carried out with reasonable skill and care.

2.2 Bean Service accepts responsibility for work carried out but does not accept responsibility for any subsequent faults or failures not arising as a consequence of failure on the part of Bean Service to undertake repairs with reasonable skill and care. Bean Service shall be the sole arbiter of such responsibility.

2.3 Bean Service guarantees all items of inventory used for repair or replacement of failed parts (“spare parts”) to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 14 days from the date of original supply, replacement and/or fitment.

3 COSTS

3.1 An approximate calculation of the cost of work required (“Estimate”) can be made available on request before work is completed. An Estimate is not an invoice or final schedule of costs. Final costs of repair can vary. Work will not be completed until the Estimate has been accepted by the Customer.

3.2 The cost of investigation is £35.00. In the event of acceptance of an estimate/quotation the cost of an investigation is deducted from the final bill. Should the customer decline the estimate/quotation provided then the investigation fee of £35.00 will remain payable.

3.3 The cost of inspecting and/or testing a product, including, but not limited to, transport, packaging, and labour charges, within the period of the applicable guarantee or otherwise, could be charged to the Customer should Bean Service deem the product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship.

4 PAYMENT

4.1 Bean Service reserves the right to obtain complete payment details prior to accepting a request for service or repair.

4.2 Payment term is NET on receipt of invoice unless otherwise stated.

5 COLLECTION

5.1 Following notification of completion of service or repair machines should be collected within a maximum of 14 calendar days, unless agreed otherwise.

5.2 Machines not collected after 14 days will incur a storage charge of £2.50 per day. Machines not collected after 28 days will be deemed abandoned and will become the property of Bean Service. We may recycle or otherwise dispose of the machine.

Used Machine Sales Warranty Terms

This warranty covers a used device which has been purchased from us providing the device displays a warranty registration label.

14 Day Defective on Arrival (DOA) Limited Warranty

If you find a product purchased from Bean Service to be defective on arrival (DOA) within the first 14 Days of its shipping/collection date we will replace or repair the product free of charge as appropriate and dependent upon the service / product received. If more than 14 days have passed since the shipping/collection date of your product, please refer to our Product Repair Service.

Service Agreement

Bean Service undertakes to replace or repair any eligible product found to be defective within the first 14 days from its shipping/collection date as per the terms and conditions stated below:

The product must be returned in its original packaging (if shipped) or returned in person (if collected) and must include any accessories that came with the product.

Damaged products will only be repaired or replaced if they were damaged upon arrival/collection and the damage was not caused due to abnormal use of the product or unauthorized servicing or repairs. Internal damage due to the use of coated coffee beans or other foreign objects will not be covered. All products are shipped at the buyer’s risk and thus damage in transit is not covered under these terms.

Bean Service will determine at our sole discretion whether product damage resulted from an act of God, was caused by misuse, abuse, unauthorized alteration or repair, or by external forces (including but not limited to power disturbances, foreign object ingress, liquid ingress, incorrect installation, use in an incorrect environment, failure to conduct require user maintenance). These cases will be treated as standard Product Repair Service cases and should follow the Product Repair Service.

A DOA product must be returned to Bean Service within 5 days of contacting us.

Bean Service will cover shipping costs for returning the DOA product to us (if the product was shipped from us at the original sale). If it is determined that the product is not qualified to be a DOA product, Bean Service will issue an invoice for the shipping fees and return costs of the product. Should the product not be repairable Bean Service undertakes to replace the product with a product which has specifications similar to original product. Replacement’s products may differ in colour, make or model however will provide similar functionality.

Warranty registration is required within 48hrs of purchase/delivery for this warranty to be valid. The following information is required: Warranty registration information is provided on any eligible machine. Any registration after this time will be in invalid and will render the warranty void.
